Contestant #13
Caroline Le: Audio Introduction
I, Caroline Le, am a Vietnamese-American who grew up in a family of six in the small city of Rancho Cucamonga, California. I am currently studying Biology at the University of California, San Diego hoping to one day become a doctor. I learned more about my Vietnamese-American identity getting involved with organizations such as the Vietnamese American Youth Alliance and UCSD’s Vietnamese Student Association as Treasurer last year. Through these organizations, I was able to work with the Vietnamese community from helping clean the streets of El Cajon Boulevard in the annual street clean-up to raising thousands of dollars for a nonprofit organization that taught English to underprivileged children in Hue, Vietnam over the summer. As a contestant of the Miss Vietnam of San Diego 2010 pageant, I look forward to working closely with the Vietnamese community in San Diego and meeting other inspiring people with great aspirations in life. My life-long goal is to make a difference in the lives of those around me, keeping in mind to ‘dream as if there is all eternity and live as if there is no tomorrow’.
