Contestant #11
Elizabeth Huynh: Audio Introduction
I moved two hours away from my hometown to San Diego three years ago to attend college but more importantly, to be independent and learn more about myself in a different environment. I was shocked with all the new challenges presented and it was tough dealing with new people; however, a few things I did learn on my own was to treat others with respect even when my opinion disagrees rather than being overly friendly and that I will always need the love and support of my parents no matter how old I am. I come from a small but very loving family. My mom is my best friend and my dad takes the best care of me so the greatest pleasure of participating in this pageant is to see my parents’ proud faces in the audience. Also, since moving to San Diego, I have not gotten the chance to be involved with anything besides schoolwork so this is a great opportunity to have fun, be a girl while involving myself with the Vietnamese community and proudly representing the Vietnamese girl today.
