Thien-Y Nguyen: Audio Introduction
Hello everyone,
My name is Thien-Y Nguyen (aka Chloe Nguyen). I’m currently attending San Diego Mesa College, majoring in Accounting and Medical Coding, and going to transfer to SDSU next fall. Like other regular girls, I love pink, yogurt, and shopping. My ambition is to be successful in both areas: business and health care. I enjoy listening to R&B, hip hop, pop, and all Taylor Swift’s songs especially. My hobbies include singing (especially while driving =)), dancing, and painting.
I think being born and raised in Sai Gon – Vietnam is one of the most precious things I’ve ever had in my life because I have been taught a lot about our culture, traditions, and the best characteristics of a Vietnamese girl.
But a person will never know what he/she has got until it’s gone… I used to be very stubborn and immature and due to them, I lost a special friend in a car crash five years ago. Every lesson has its own price, but I’d never thought it was that high. I have changed a lot, yes… because I know now I don’t only live for myself, my family, but for him also. From that moment on, I’ve become stronger and more independent, or at least understood better the real value of a girl, a Vietnamese girl specifically.
Looks is nothing, the real beauty of a girl is in her soul, and I lacked of it ☺ therefore, I joined in this pageant to learn how to complete my inner beauty. I love participating in the activities and VAYA’s events and bring my knowledge to help our community and people living in Vietnam. I want to learn more about the personal traits of a Vietnamese girl. There are many things I want to pursue and I may not succeed in all of them, but I believe “failure is not the worst thing in the world; the very worst is not to try.”
After all, I want to tell the world that “I am proud to be a Vietnamese!” =)
Thanks for visiting my page and voting for me!
