- What motivated you to join the pageant? (don’t say, because my friends told me to do it , that’s just stupid)
My main motivation to join Mr. Vietnam pageant is to reconnect with my roots and culture. I hope to improve my Vietnamese language skills, as well as become more knowledgeable of Vietnamese traditions.
- What’s your favorite memory of Tet?
Performing with DefiANCE for the past 3 years. Dancing with them provided me a sense of giving back and staying involved with the Vietnamese community of San Diego.
- Your ideal gf would be….
My ideal gf would be 5’ 2”, sparkly brown eyes, toned calves, beautiful smile, good sense of humor, lives in Rancho Penasquitos, and has initials of T.L. I suppose I have high standards.
- What would you consider a perfect date?
Everyday is a perfect date as long as we are together. =)
- What are your future aspirations?
In the near future, I hope to earn my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and a licensure to practice. I also hope to be an active leader and positive role model in the Vietnamese community for the next generation to come.
- What’s your favorite pick up line?
I have many, but if I had to choose one, it would be this: By looking at you, I can tell you are 36-25-36. Those are all perfect squares by the way.
- People say money or love makes the world go around, what makes YOUR world go ’round? (that sounds more like a question for Q&A section…hmm haha)
Definitely a combination of both.
- What are some of your pet peeves?
Conceitedness and arrogance are my biggest pet peeves.
- Do you have any phobias?
Stage freight, which I hope to overcome by January 20th!
- Instead of the title, money + prizes what do you want to get out of being a Mr. VN contestant?
Networking, becoming more knowledgeable of the Vietnamese culture, more opportunities to be involved with the community, and making my parents and friends proud.
