#12.  Tiffany Lee

Hello, my name is Tiffany Lee.  I am an aspiring veterinary pathologist and global philanthropist. I hope to achieve this by first completing my 3rd and last year here at UCSD as a biology major and gaining as much knowledge as possible from my position as the TMC Director of Public Relations and the Marshall Spirit Crew Chair, and working as a research assistant at the Hillcrest Medical Center studying Chronic Heart Failure patients. Afterwards, I plan on just working to give back next year, implementing the county-wide New Years donation project in order to inspire compassion and charity in children for others that are less fortunate. This step may be unorthodox, but I believe that the only race one has left to win is the race against oneself. I do not have a passion in any one thing but a passion in learning, living, and helping every corner of this earth. The reason for my existence is to better the existence of others. I joined the Miss VN pageant because being less fortunate not only means a lack in wealth, status, or education but also a lack in one’s cultural heritage. My aspirations connect me to the future generation, which is losing touch of this crucial identity. My two younger brothers can barely understand Vietnamese anymore and this concerns me. I, too, have been living wholly in the American culture and wish to reclaim my identity- no matter where I am or what I do, who I am will always remain the same. Therefore one of my goals during the course of this pageant is to remerge myself within my heritage and act as a liaison in order to convey our Vietnamese spirit to the younger generations.
