Booth Options
2008 Vendor Application
Please read the following to determine what type of booth is appropriate
for your organization. See vendor permit requirements at bottom.
Food Booth ($600): if you are selling
food, from pre-packaged food such as candy or cookies in boxes, any type
of jerky in sealed bag or if you are selling food made on site such as
BBQ, corn on the cob, salads, and drinks, you need to apply for a food
booth. (REQUIREMENTS: Seller’s Permit BOE400SPA, Temporary Food
Facility Permit, and Food Handling Certificate)
Commercial Booth ($400): if you
are selling any products or services, you need to apply for a commercial
booth. This includes sales of CDs, electronics, fabrics, and phone cards,
cell phones to services such as travel, massages, and palm reading. (Must
apply for Seller’s Permit BOE400SPA)
Game Booth ($400): if you are offering
fee-based entertainment, such as game booths like basketball, where you
can win a prize, you need to apply for a game booth.
Art/Exhibition Booth ($300): if
you want to advertise, or bring awareness to any kind of information.
This includes display forms of art, information on voting, and health
issues to free services such as haircut, massages, or free testing for
diabetes. There cannot be any exchange of monetary values for any of the
products or services made on site.
Non-Profit Booth ($200): if you
are a non-profit 501(c)(3) status organization, you can apply for an information
booth for $200. Please call for further details.
*NOTE: A combination
is not allowed (i.e. selling CDs in a food booth is prohibited).
PERMIT REQUIREMENTS:
Seller’s Permit
All vendors who are planning to operate under any kind of commercial of
having profit, as a chief aim by providing goods and/or services in exchange
is required to have a seller’s permit provided by the Board of Equalization.

Food Handling Certificate
All food vendors must attach a copy of your food-handling certificate
with your vendor application. If you do not have a food handling certificate,
please attend the Food Handling Class on January 19 and 26, 2008. Vendors are
responsible for knowing and meeting all Health Department Regulation.
Be prepared for a visit from the Health Department and our inspectors.
Temporary Food Facility Permit
All food vendors must apply for the Temporary Food Facility Permit. Please
obtain a copy of the application and send a check payable to the County
of San Diego with the appropriate payment amount. (Vendor Temporary Food
