FAQ about volunteering for tet festival 2008
Q: How old do I have to be in order to volunteer for Tet Festival 2008?
A: Age does not matter if you want to volunteer for the festival. You can be 5 years old or 90 years old. However, if you are under 18 years of age, you will need to submit in the parental/ medical consent form.
Q: Is there a DEADLINE for volunteering at the TET Festival?
A: Yes, all participating volunteers must register online by January 30th! We will not be accepting volunteers during the days of the festival.

Q: Is there a DEADLINE to submit in the parental/ medical consent form if I am under 18 years old?
A: Yes, there is a deadline to submit in your consent form. It must be received by January 30, 2008.

A: You can get the consent from at the bottom of this page.
Q: What do I get for volunteering at the TET Festival 2008?
A: You will get a Volunteer Appreciation Package consisting of : a free t-shirt, community service hours, food, free admission, and a Tet Appreciation Party.
Q: Is there a Volunteer Orientation I must attend in order to become a volunteer?
A: Yes, all volunteer personnel must attend one of the following MANDATORY volunteer training sessions

Q: If I am unable to attend the Volunteer Orientation but I really would like to volunteer, what can I do?
A: Contact our Volunteer Chair immediately at volunteer@sdtet.com. The volunteer orientation covers important information regarding protocols and procedures for all volunteers, please try your best to attend. In the meantime, please view our powerpoint.
Q: What are the hours of volunteering for the TET Festival 2008?
A: These are the expected hours of operation for volunteers.
Thursday, February 7, 2008 (pre-festival setup 1:00pm - 10:00pm)
Friday, February 8, 2008 (1:00pm - 10:00pm)
Saturday, February 9, 2008 (8:00am - 11:00pm)
Sunday, February 10, 2008 (8:00am - 11:00pm)
Q: Do I have to be Vietnamese in order to volunteer for TET Festival 2008?
A: No, absolutely not! Even aliens can volunteer for this festival if they come down from space.
Q: When can I start signing up to be a volunteer?
A: You can do it RIGHT NOW as you finish reading this last sentence. =) If you are under 18 years of age you must download this Parental Consent Form and get it sign.
